WOW so we are down to the final few days now… Its Thursday 22nd December 2011 and we are “due” to depart Australia on Sunday 25th December but as there is a cyclone due to form around Darwin on Christmas eve, well… lets just say i’m hoping mother nature is going to show us some kindness but if not, we’ll just have to wait until she’s moved on and then head off. Hopefully we wont miss any of Sunburn Festival which kicks off Dec 27th!
I’m sitting at work bored shitless, deleting old email contacts from my hotmail account and now tuning my tumblr blog… I’ve kept this blog of mine under wraps for a couple months now while I had a go of figuring it out myself but I think when we leave this weekend i’ll post a link on my facebook and allow people to check it out and track our travels on here. Saves me writing 50 different emails telling everyone what we’re doing.
I can’t believe we are down to the final few days. Goodbyes have been easy enough thus far, most people are on the same page as me and don’t want to make it any harder than it needs to be so they’ve been short & sweet. Not looking forward to saying goodbye to the fam… God knows my Mum will turn on the waterworks bless her.
But to anyone reading this… Whether we said goodbye 5 times or didn’t get a chance to say goodbye properly at all… Know I love you all and value each & every one of you in my life. But the travel bug has me by the balls & I feel like I have to do this right now. It’s not so much goodbye, more like… See you in a while xo
